HonestHours respects your privacy. This policy explains who processes your data, what we collect, why, and what rights you have. The service is operated from Argentina and is available to users worldwide.
Data controller
The data controller for HonestHours is HonestHours, an individual service provider based in Argentina. Privacy contact: support@honesthours.app.
Data we collect
Account and identity: Telegram user ID, username, first name, language, and timezone. Service content: your check-in replies, edited messages linked to slots, daily compliance stats, streaks, and bot settings (schedule, pause state). Billing: subscription status, trial dates, payment provider references, and Mercado Pago payer email when a payment is confirmed. Technical: session cookies, pricing-region preference, and — if you consent — analytics events on the website (page views and funnel events, not message content).
Sensitive content you may write
Check-in replies are free text. You may include personal details we do not ask for (health, relationships, work conflicts, etc.). We store what you send to operate reports and exports. Please avoid sharing information you do not want retained.
How we use your data
We use your data only to run HonestHours: send prompts, attribute replies to time slots, deliver daily reports and exports, manage trials and subscriptions, prevent abuse, and respond to support requests. We do not sell your data, rent it, or use check-in content for advertising.
Legal bases (summary)
Contract performance: operating the bot and your subscription. Legitimate interests: security, fraud prevention, and aggregated site analytics (with consent where required). Legal obligation: retaining records when applicable law requires it. Consent: optional analytics cookies on the website.
Cookies and similar technologies
Essential: signed session cookie for web sign-in; pricing-region cookies to show correct plans. Analytics (optional): Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics 4 if you click "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner. You can change your choice by clearing site data for honesthours.app. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking pixels on check-in content.
Service providers (sub-processors)
We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (web hosting), Railway (bot and scheduler), Telegram (messaging channel), Mercado Pago and/or Stripe (payments), and Google (analytics, if consented). Their policies also apply to how they handle infrastructure data.
Retention
We keep account and activity data while your account is active. After cancellation or a deletion request, we delete or anonymize personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep when applicable law requires it. Backups may lag briefly before purging.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, update, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Argentina (Law 25.326): you may exercise ARCO rights by emailing support@honesthours.app with your Telegram @username or user ID. EEA/UK (GDPR): you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. We respond within 30 days when possible.
International transfers
HonestHours is operated from Argentina. Our providers may process data in the United States or other countries. When required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses offered by our providers) for cross-border transfers.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted transport (HTTPS), row-level security in the database, and least-privilege server keys. No method is 100% secure; notify us promptly at support@honesthours.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
Minors
HonestHours is not directed to children under 18. If you believe a minor provided personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
